Built in early 1900’s is a brick built house with 3 large reception rooms that have served as bedrooms as well as living spaces. There is a relatively new kitchen, with incredible storage space and a downstairs toilet.
Upstairs there are 2 good sized bedrooms and a 3rd box room bedroom that has also been used as a study/office. The bath room has recently been refurbished and with a new bathroom suite and decoration.
There are 2 fully accessible loft spaces that are both insulated and boarded out.
There is off road parking and the back garden gets plenty of sunlight. At various times I have grown veg. and had bar b que parties. The closeness of the trees at the Welholme Galleries means that on a quiet morning the birdsong has made it easy to imagine being in the countryside. The back door is a real sun trap and many a morning coffee has been had stood watching the birds in the trees. There currently is a quirky brick and timber shed that I may get around to clearing away as it might not be to everyones taste, (depends if you like making things in the shed!).
The neighbourhood is good and I have left several friends behind in my neighbours. The closeness of the nearby Sainsburies makes it very convenient. The primary school 2 mins walk down the road has a good reputation and you are only 10 mins walk from a lovely park and only 15 mins walk to the centre of town. It is a very well situated house.
The house is fully double glazed with timber framed windows that are in keeping with the original features.
A very efficient combi-boiler ties into a solar thermal system so running cost are even lower. Full central heating means even in winter it is a warm house. To add to this the majority of the fireplaces all work and there are currently 2 wood burning stoves installed, although these will be removed unless the new owner wants to buy them. The 2 main bedrooms have the original fireplaces and many a cozy winters night has been spent staring in to the flames: no adverts on that TV!
